Mr.Jurin Laksanawisit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce recently presided over the opening ceremony of the “Thailand Fruits Golden Months: Thai Help Thai” campaign, a new campaign initiated by the Ministry of Commerce’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Department of Business Development (DBD). The campaign works with Thailand’s leading E-commerce platforms including Thailandpostmart, Shopee, Lazada, JD Central, Jatujakmall, Cloudmall, The Hub Thailand and Octorocket.asia to support and help Thai fruit producers who are affected by the COVID-19 outbreak through online channels. The campaign aims to distribute premium export fruits like mangoes, durians, mangosteens and other fruits that will be launched soon like longans and lychees to local markets while the exports are on hold during the outbreak. Proactive strategies like expanding the local markets through online TOPTHAI Flagship Stores and organizing online business matching between international buyers and Thai producers are also encouraged.
