Mr.Jurin Laksanawisit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce recently held a meeting with the boards of directors of the Ministry of Commerce and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) to discuss how to support Thailand’s digital content industry in an international arena. The meeting titled “Turning a Crisis into Online Business Matching Opportunities: Presenting Thai Content in the World’s Market” was joined by Mr. Boonyarit Kalayanamit, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce and 6 associations related to digital content. In summary, the Ministry of Commerce aims to provide more support for this industry by implementing 4 strategies, namely creating a digital platform for Thai content, modifying the formats of exhibition and online business matching, providing support in the form of soft loan and organizing concrete business matching events for Thai investors and brands. The strategies came from the mutual agreement and will be implemented together by all parties.
